Want to help me through law school?

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

When I was seven years old, I watched Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream”. I clearly remember the impact that the passion in his speech made on me that morning. It was then that I knew I wanted to be an attorney. At the time I dreamed of becoming a civil right’s specialist and wanted to one day take my talents and training abroad to Africa.

Life for me, however, seemed to have another plan. From the age of sixteen until about twenty-three life passed by me so quickly it seems I hardly had a moment to breathe. Being young and somewhat foolish, I went out into life and left my education as an afterthought. I have been twice married, dabbled in business, and for four years worked in a hospital thinking that medicine would suit me as a career choice. However, the embers of that old dream’s passion stirred relentlessly within me. Culminating into a roaring fire, I have found my childhood dreams and am working towards making them a reality.

Now that I am a little older than my former seven year old self and have lived in the big, hard world a while, my interests in law are much more diverse than just civil rights. I want to learn many different specialties and completely immerse myself until I feel I have reached fulfillment. Because of family restrictions – both financially and personally, I am going to have to attend school through completion here in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

Attending UCLA’s School of Law is my goal with the result being a successful graduate of their program. What my ultimate dream is though is going to Africa and opening legal/medical/self-help clinics. I know that I will accomplish all that I set out to but first things first, I must complete law school.

After many years of being fearful of my dreams and hiding from them for fear of failure, I want nothing more than to conquer my fears and obtain my goals. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream, he worked towards his goals tirelessly, and now I look towards the little girl that I once was – so filled with passion and I know that I must reach my dream. I am a competitive student who takes nothing short of excellence in her studies and am a proud member of Phi Theta Kappa. My education is now more precious to me than any worldly possession ever could be. I am committed to taking the correct steps here on out. I am also going through a few very personal matters right now that will be depleting some of my financial resources.

In short, I will have a HUGE financial load to carry through school even after grants and loans. So...I have dabbled in different mediums of art all of my life and have decided to sell some of my works. I create ACEOs which are miniature and affordable pieces of art. They measure 2.5 by 3.5 inches. ACEO cards are collected worldwide and traded with other collectors. They fit in plastic sleeves the same size of baseball cards. I will post new ACEOs that I create on here from time to time. Keep in mind that they are ALL original and NOT reproduced which greatly effects the value as time goes on. Each card will come to you in a protective plastic sleeve and will be signed, dated, titled, and numbered on the back.

If you are not much of an art collector but just generally kind hearted and would like to help my dream come true of attending law school, then any donation you would like to make is greatly appreciated! Just click on the MAKE A DONATION link at the top of the page. If you cannot do either of these, please offer your kind thoughts and prayers as those are greatly appreciated all of the time!!! THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE SURROUNDED ME IN LOVE AND SUPPORT!
